INDEPENDENCE DAY
Click on the above title and listen while you read.The Fourth of July is this weekend and I've been wondering what has happened to this great nation. Our government has done a wonderful job of protecting us from further terrorist attacks since 9/11/2001. But has sucked at protecting us from the U.S.A government. Just Friday(06/26/09) the House of Representatives passed a bill that is not representative of the American people.
Lee Greenwood says in his song, "The flag still stands for freedom and they cannot take that away". Greenwood is wrong. The flag can constitutionally be destroyed and our "freedoms" are being eliminated one by one by the US Government.
The Government under the mismanagement of President B. Hussein Obama has shutdown industries, the financial districts, local business', increasing inflation and the very real threat of tax increases through unnecessary programs and policies.
Our country is no longer "free" but under a group of people who are looking and acting more fascist than anything else. We have a President with less than 5 years of government experience and a Congress so juiced with power they are not listening to constituents. America is going the way of California trying to tax and spend its way to health.
The American people need to say "no" to stupid decisions by politicians for politics sake. No one wins without a free market. Government no longer exist for the people but only for expanding government. The only secure job in the future and, yes, even today is working for the government.
It's Independence Day, July 4th, but everything our founding fathers worked and die for is disappearing as I write.
It's time for another Independence Day; it's time to let our elected representatives they no longer represent us. It's time to say "NO" to Washington and "YES" to the principles of the Constitution of the United States and regain our freedoms being stolen every week by slick politicians looking to line their pockets with our money.
Tell your senator or US Representative unless they put my earnings back into my pocket and not theirs, not illegals, not some foreign government, they won't get your vote. I have along with thousands of others. It's time for one voice "of the people for the people".
Okay, I'm almost done. None of this is going to work unless we also invite God into the battle. We need to be more diligent in following the Word of God and praying for our nation, healing and wisdom.
It's quite obvious we need prayer for the nation. We need to pray for healing of emotional, political, spiritual wounds that we are having inflicted upon us and inflicting upon others. Pray that wisdom leads our government back to a path of righteousness and not to altar of Baal. And finally prayer for faith, love and hope return to our nation and ourselves.
This is our country. It was fought for by men and women with duty and honor for country. Let it not be in vain they served and sacrificed. With that said, celebrate the 4th by remembering a vet and offering a service to one in return.
