Nomination for the Worst Generals Are . . .

"It appears we have appointed our worst generals to command forces, and our most gifted and brilliant to edit newspapers! In fact, I discovered by reading newspapers that these editor/geniuses plainly saw all my strategic defects from the start, yet failed to inform me until it was too late.

Accordingly, I'm readily willing to yield my command to these obviously superior intellects, and I'll, in turn, do my best for the Cause by writing editorials - after the fact."

Who Is It That Is Killing Innocents in Iraq?

The New York Times

Iraq Bombers Blow Up 2 Children Used as Decoys
By KIRK SEMPLE

BAGHDAD, March 20 — Insurgents detonated a bomb in a car with two children in it after using the children as decoys to get through a military checkpoint in Baghdad, an American general said Tuesday.

Agence France-Presse, quoting an unidentified American military official, said the incident occurred Sunday. The bombers parked the vehicle across the street from a school then ran away, leaving the children inside, the official told the news agency. The blast killed the children and three other civilians and wounded seven, the official said.

The media would like us to think that all the problems, the unrest, the civilian deaths in Iraq are the fault of U.S. troops. It's not. I agree that civilians die at the hands of our troops but not specifically targeted. Yet, no one gets their pants in a wad when a homicide bomber uses civilians, children no less, to kill other civilians.

President Bush was correct in going to war, wrong in the way it was and is being conducted. Ironically, the other candidates and parties don't have any better solution.

Civilians are innocently dying because their own countrymen and women are targeting them and killing them. Hell, this has been going on for 5,000 years. Nothing is going to change the hatred. But brutality againt the innocent can if Congress lets the Generals fight the war and do the job they have been trained. To Kill the enemy.

Congress blame yourselves for this fiasco. Blame Al Queda, blame Hussein, blame the media.

Political entitlement cares nothing for civilians or democracy people here in the U.S. nor overseas.

Let's not re-elect any Congressman or woman next time around but place new blood and ideas in office for the sake of not only our country but for other nations as well.

Busch is out. Be very careful of who we vote into office. Otherwise, more civilians will die.

He or she might be you.

This Is Not A Currnet Event

I did not write the following editorial though I will comment on it. However, I love American history and look forward to exploring some more this summer. I have been to D.C. many times but did not know about this sad reality about our denial of God in government. Oh, I believe our government sees itself as a god, its own. But to ignore the One true God that watches over this great nation, to deny the words of great religious politicians and believe the propoganda of elected people giving lip service to God is . . . is . . . obtuse. There's a safe word.

We know the Founding Fathers believed in an Almighty God. Their correspondence and letters are filled with religious references. We know that men and women in battle have called upon God when nothing else can overcome fear. We know that history records that God is useded to manipulate people to vote certain ways, it records that God is convienent,"In God We Trust" but not revere, obey and most times acknowledge.

Read one more denial of the God who loves us, no, adores us to the point of sacrifice. God died so that we might live free and forever in His Kingdom, His home. But, well, read on.

SHALL WE HIRE A MONUMENT ENGRAVER TO GO TO ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY AND ADD THE MISSING WORDS ? A MESSAGE FROM AN APPALLED OBSERVER:

Today I went to visit the new World War II Memorial in Washington, DC! I got an unexpected history lesson Because I'm a baby boomer, I was one of the youngest in the crowd. Most were the age of my parents, Veterans of "the greatest war," with their families. It was a beautiful day, And people were smiling and happy to be there. Hundreds of us milled around the memorial, reading the inspiring words of Eisenhower and Truman that are engraved there. On the Pacific side of the memorial, a group of us gathered to read the Words President Roosevelt used to announce the attack on Pearl Harbor: Yesterday, December 7, 1941-- a date which will live in infamy--the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked. One elderly woman read the words aloud: With confidence in our armed forces, with the abounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph. But as she read, she was suddenly turned angry. "Wait a minute," she said, "they left out the end of the quote. They left out the most important part. Roosevelt ended The message with "so help us God.'" Her husband said, "You are probably right. We're not supposed to say Things like that now." "I know I'm right," she insisted. "I remember the speech." The two looked dismayed, shook their heads sadly and walked away. Listening to their conversation, I thought to myself,Well, it has been over 50 years she's probably Forgotten." But she had not forgotten. She was right. I went home and Pulled out the book my book club is reading --- "Flags of Our Fathers" by James Bradley. It's all about the battle at Iwo Jima. I haven't gotten too far in the book. It's tough to read because it's a graphic description of the WWII battles in the Pacific. But right there it was on page 58. Roosevelt's speech to the nation ends In "so help us God." The people who edited out that part of the speech when they engraved it on the memorial could have fooled me. I was born after the war.! But they couldn't fool the people who were there. Roosevelt's words are engraved on Their hearts. Now I ask: "WHO GAVE THEM THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE WORDS OF HISTORY?????????" Send this around to your friends People need to know before everyone forgets. People today are trying to change the history of America by leaving God out of it, but the truth is, God has been a part of this nation, since the beginning. He still wants to be...and He always will be! If you agree, pass this on. If not, May God Bless YOU!

People who leave God out of their lives are fightened individuals who believe that God is only going to restrict their lives. By ignoring God people do not have to be responsible but to themselves. Thus the line from the 70's "If it feels good do it, do it if it's what you feel" becomes a mantra. This philosophy applies to drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, liying, gambling, shopping, theft, eating. Because it "feels good" does not make it right. Only God determines right. Not you, not me, nor the government of any country.

So, put God first. Get God back in the life of our country. And begin by putting God back into the history books, quotations and lives of people who acknowledged His Reality.
1 Cor 8:2-32
The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know.3 But the man who loves God is known by God. (NIV)
THERE IS A GOD - - - - YOU'RE NOT HIM!

9 Die in U.S. Strike

9 From One Family Die in U.S. Strike Near Kabul
By CARLOTTA GALL and ABDUL WAHEED WAFA
KABUL, Afghanistan, March 5 — Nine members of a family, including five women and three children, were killed in an American airstrike in central Afghanistan late Sunday during a battle with militants, Afghan officials said Monday.
The American military acknowledged that it dropped two 2,000-pound bombs on a compound on Sunday night, but said that it could not confirm the casualties.
The strike occurred 12 hours after American forces in eastern Afghanistan fired on civilians following a suicide car bombing next to an American convoy. The American fire killed at least 10 people and wounded 25, Afghan officials said. In response, protests on Sunday blocked the main highway in the area.
On Sunday night, American forces at a small base in Tape Ahmed Beg, in Kapisa Province, northeast of the capital, Kabul, came under rocket fire at 9 p.m., the United States military said in a statement. When two men with Kalashnikov rifles were spotted entering a compound, the Americans called an airstrike, which ended the engagement, it said.
“Coalition forces observed two men with AK-47s leaving the scene of the rocket attack and entering the compound,” Lt. Col. David Accetta, a military spokesman, said in the statement. “These men knowingly endangered civilians by retreating into a populated area while conducting attacks against coalition forces.”
“We did this in self-defense,” said Gen. Muhammad Eiwaz Masloom, the police chief of Kapisa Province, whose men work beside Americans at the base. “The enemy of Afghanistan is trying to use different tactics to destroy the peace and stability in our area, especially in the districts of Tagab and Nejarab, and they have repeatedly attacked our bases.”
He said that members of the Islamic Party, which is led by the renegade mujahedeen commander Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, and Taliban supporters were active in the area.
But a local representative of the provincial council, Suraya Bahadur, who comes from Nejarab district, where the bombing happened, condemned it. “I condemn both the suicide attacks and the rocket attacks by the enemy of Afghanistan, and also I condemn these type of mistakes,” by American and NATO forces, she said. “We never want our civilian people to be killed.”

This article from the NY Times, dated March 6, 2007.

US forces see to enemy soldiers run into a compound after a brutal rocket attack and we return fire. Nine civilians get killed because the enemy chose to hide behind the skirts of women and children.

WELL DONE TO THE U.S. FORCES FOR DOING THE "RIGHT THING"!!

The Left Centrists of this country need to understand that in order to win a war, some civilian casualties will happen AND especially if the enemy chooses to hide within the area of civilian populations. The "Rules of Engagement" apply when the enemy fires upon your position and U.S. forces return fire. If civilians get killed. So freaking what?!

The enemy is putting their families and country men, women and children in danger. Not the U.S. military. Wars are won by military superiority and brute force and until the Liberals of our country understand this, we cannot win.

3,000 civilians killed in attacks on September 11, 2001. In one 30 minute time frame 3,000 people working in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave were slain at the hands of an unknown enemy. Piloting 4 civilian aircraft from U.S. airports, planes slammed into the WTC towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.

3,000 civilians!!

Latest figures put the civilian casualties in Afghanistan and Irag at 63,573. However, this is not the fault of the U.S. led military. It is the fault of the enemy and radical muslim faction waging war against the U.S. Coalition forces.

If we win, then there will less civilian casualties because it will be OVER! So Congress, let the military fight the war and win.

AND STAY THE HELL OUT OF IT!
